The author | Maria Angelidou was born in Athens in 1957. She studied Literature in Athens and Zurich. She has translated more than 500 books, approximately half of them for children, and has adapted works by Shakespeare, Molière, Dante, Cervantes, Melville, Goldoni, and others for younger readers. She has been honored with three awards from the Greek Society of Literary Translators and from IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People). Many of her works have been translated into English, French, Spanish, and German.
