The author | Elena Perikleous studied Education and holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education. She worked as a teacher in public education and coordinated Cultural Education initiatives at the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus. Today, she serves as a Commissioner for the Protection of Children’s Rights, guided by a steadfast vision of a world where every child is heard, valued, and lives with dignity, safety, and joy. She served as a President of the Cyprus Association of Children’s and Young People’s Books (IBBY Cyprus), actively contributing to the promotion of reading and literary creation for children and young people.

Renia Metallinou was born and raised in Corfu. She studied graphic arts and worked for various magazines and newspapers. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions both in Greece and abroad. Since 2015, she has devoted herself exclusively to illustrating children’s books, published nationally and internationally. She is a member of IBBY and, in 2017, was shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards in the children’s category.
